Don Glover

athlete

Inducted February, 1983

One of the talented youngsters who stormed onto the professional bowling scene in the 1960's, Glover compiled a brilliant record on the bigtime tour. His devastating southpaw hook sent pins flying not only in this country but in Europe and Asia, too. Glover claimed six PBA titles, including the prestigious ABC Masters crown (1970). His accomplishments include bowling perfect 300 scores in three countries -- the U.S., Canada and Japan. One year in the Gold Cup matches in Japan, he averaged 248 for 64 games. Glover played golf for South High for three years but was ruled out his senior year because he had won money in a bowling tournament in Fresno. He now owns and operates a bowling center in Showlow, Ariz.
