Longtime coach and athletic administrator at Bakersfield High who is in his 18th year as South Area Athletic Commissioner for the Central Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. He ensures that schools and athletes follow CIF guidelines an eligibility requirements. Harrison came to Bakersfield in 1956 and spent the next 11 years as a coach for 24 teams, winning 20 championships and compiling an overall record of 327-61-3. He has a tireless volunteer for various athletic organizations in Kern County including the jockey Club for 25 years, Jack Frost Football for nine years, the Bob Elias Hall of Fame board and for 12 years a member of the Mayor's Athletic Committee. Harrison grew up in Lewiston, Idaho, where he played golf, baseball, basketball, and football. Graduated from the University of Idaho and then spent two years in the U.S. Marines.
