Alonzo Hill


Inducted February 12th, 1998

Tremendous all-around athlete at Bakersfield High School from the fall of 1957 through the spring of 1960. He was the first Driller to play four varsity basketball championship teams, and he was an all-league selection for three years in football, basketball and baseball. Nine times he played on a league championship team. After high school, he played football at Arizona State for four years and was on one league championship team there. He also won the Jim Tyack Award for being the top all-around high school athlete in Kern County.
