Highland High School graduate who played on the women’s professional tennis circuit for 14 years. Turned pro at age 16 and reached the French Open semifinals at 17. Ranked in the top 50 in the world within six months of turning pro and eventually achieved a top 20 ranking. Played against such notable players as Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Monica Seles and Steffi Graf. Developed her skills as a top youngster at the Bakersfield Racquet Club, working with noted coach Andy Davidson. Was the top-ranked 16-and-under girl in Southern California when she turned professional.
