Bakersfield High graduate who spent years among the top women shot putters and discus throwers in the United States. She ranked among the top 10 in the shot for 10 straight years and in the top 10 in the U.S. for both the shot and discus from 1992-99. Placed third at the U.S Championships in the 1995 and 2000. At UCLA, she was a seven-time Pac-10 champion in the two events and set school records in the events in 1995. Won four NCAA titles at UCLA: indoor shot in 1992 and 1995, outdoor shot in 1993 and discus in 1995. Scored 81 points in the NCAA Championship meets, the second highest total ever for men or women. At BHS she won two state titles in the shot and one in the discus.
