In entering the Bob Elias Hall of Fame tonight, Hank Pfister Jr. joins his father who was posthumously inducted in 1982. And in so doing, Pfister father and son, that list includes Dennis Ralston (1967), Lake Lovelace (1969), Sally Moore (1977), and Jake Lynch (1981). The rangy, hard hitting Pfister was an All-American at San Jose State and spent 11 years on tour, winning two singles titles, attaining a world ranking of No.19 and posting victories over such players as Jimmy Connors, Roscoe Tanner, Guillermo Vilas, Arthur Ashe, Lilie Nastase and Stan Smith, He now competes on the over-35 Grand Champions tour and coached youngsters here.
