Joey Porter

A 1995 Foothill graduate, Porter played 13 seasons in the NFL. A 3rd-round pick (73rd overall) in the 1999 NFL Draft, Porter played for the Steelers (1999-2006), Miami (2007-09) and Arizona (2010-11) and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection. He led the NFL with 17.5 sacks with the Dolphins in 2008 in 2008 and finished his NFL career with 721 tackles (552 solo), 98 sacks, 25 forced fumbles and 12 interceptions. Recruited as an H-back to Colorado St., Porter didn't move to defense until his junior year. As a senior, he ranked third among Div. I players with a school-record tying 15 sacks, earning first-team All-WAC honors. Porter donated $250,000 for what is now the Joey Porter Locker Room inside Moby Arena on the Colorado St. campus. He also conducted camps at Foothill where he brought in numerous NFL players to work with local youth. Porter was recently hired as a defensive assistant coach with the Steelers. He's in the Colorado St. Athletic Hall of Fame.
