Born in Corcoran and graduated from Delano High in 1958. Was a first-team JC All-American at Bakersfield College in 1959 when BC went 10-0. Started on 10-0 Fresno State team in 1961 and was a Little All-American. Played two seasons in the Canadian Football League, starting on the 1964 Grey Cup-winning Vancouver BC Lions. Became Arvin High's football coach in 1966 and was the first varsity football coach at Highland High in 1970. Returned to Cororan in 1986 as football coach and athletic director. Rebuilt that program to a power within four years.
