Mike Fanucchi, who has international rugby experience and has played on the U.S. national team, is an honoree. Fanucchi's 16-year rugby career includes being selected three times to the U.S. national team and, in 1979, was designated as the most valuable player at the trials to pick that team. While Fanucci has played most of his rugby in the San Fransisco-Santa Cruz Area, he was a member of the Kern County Rugby Club from 1974 through 1976 and was named most valuable back in the 1976 Santa Barbara tournament which the Kern team won in a field of 64 teams, including some of the nation's finest.
