Inducted February 18, 1993
The posthumous induction of Pete Cross is the third professional basketball player to be enshrined. A 6-9 center, Cross starred at Bakersfield High and the University of San Francisco before three-year pro career with the Seattle Supersonics and Kansas City Kings. He holds the single-game rebounding record of 31 for the BHS Drillers. An All-West Coast Conference pick two season at USF, Cross is fourth on the Don's All-time Rebounding LIst behind Bill Russell, Ollie Johnson, and Bill Cartwright. As a pro rookie with Seattle, Cross set a single season rebounding record. He died in 1977 at the age of 28.
